Hi folks.

I got an idea that might work. It might actually work. Okay, before I talk about it, let me intro it.

At times I want to write my best thoughts here, but know that a post like “14 Ways To End The Day” would get 10 times as many page views. It is a bit disconcerting. However, I have an idea that will work.

One day I will post great content(that which I think is great content), and the next day I can post some catchy and entertaining post that won’t actually help you much. I will alternate between these. That way, I will be able to express myself and try to actually help you, and also gain readership in the process. This could be my solution to the dilemma of wanting to put out great content and have many to express it to.

I just got this idea 4 minutes ago, and I think it is good. I will sometimes post what I think is great material, and will sometimes post what I think people want to read. Sadly, these are basically mutually exclusive, but that is good for this alternative posting concept.

I think my brain was processing this solution for a while before it just came to me a short bit ago.

If I sound crazy to you, that is something to do with you, not with me.

Hey folks. See that title? See the picture? Those don’t matter.

The important material is the stuff in the post.

First off, I recorded a rap. This is dedicated to Dan Stover(@DLStover on Twitter), who sent a message on Twitter that said

Timeless Information has become one of my recent favorite sites. Check out <s>@</s>Armen‘s “5 minute” post http://ow.ly/7sTDV

That tweet was very cool for me to see. I like that kind of stuff. It was a real message from a real person who liked reading my material. It wasn’t some spam bot trying to get me to click something, or some advertiser trying to get me to buy something.

The rap that follows here is to Dan and all you readers:

Aside from that, I joined Toastmasters a bit ago. It is a great thing. A fine group is in there and it is great for building speaking skills. I gave my first speech(forgot to get it recorded, sorry) and it went cool. I look forward to the next. Maybe you will see it.

Boom there it is.

The image for this post was gotten from Flickr.

*Hi folks. I had this partially done long post of 5 things about each site on my Sites page, and it has been in my drafts folder for quite a bit, so I will go ahead and post it as is here.*

The Sites page is one of the most popular pages on Timeless Information, as it has been linked to many times, and serves as a resource for people to see many of the personal development sites on the internet ranked by their subscribership. I even use it at times to check out new material from some people I have not read from in a while. In this article, I will point out items regarding every site on that page. Also, keep in mind that there are many personal development sites that are not on that list, and the requirement that I originally had for putting them on the list was that they had a published subscriber count and a Twitter page. And away we go“

Zen Habits

run by Leo Babauta who has been mentioned more times than the phrase “good morning”

Leo is a big proponent of minimalism and simplicity

site is very clean and full of white space

He got a huge subscribership by guest posting heavily early on, and now continues to grow through a method I call “pulling back” that I may discuss at a future time

I built up more respect for Leo once I saw some of his harder-hitting articles that discuss relevant issues and go against the general populace

Life Hack

Life Hack is run by Seth Simonds and it includes a host of writers that contribute articles in various categories

The Positivity Blog

run by Henrik Edberg, and with all articles only written by Henrik

Henrik often includes quotes that relate to the message he is presenting

I view Henrik as the Swedish personal development representative

Henrik has written two books, one about positivity and one about productivity

the look of the site has a nice airy feel to it

Litemind

run by Luciano Passuello, who I once lost to in online chess

the articles tend to be quite in-depth and analyzed, since Luciano is one of those few people who processes an issue for longer than most

Litemind has an associated Ebook that contains some of the best articles from 2 years of writings on the site

each post has a nice big picture and short excerpt on the main pages, and they look colorful

I see Luciano as calm and analytical

Marc and Angel Hack Life

Marc and Angel are a pair of individuals who are together in a relationship

On this site you will find a lot of how-tos and messages that arise from conversations that took place or items of that nature

Illuminated Mind

run by Jonathan Mead, who I believe is or will soon be in Portland

the material on this site sticks to the theme of being unconventional, as can be seen all over it, including in the tag line “don’t read if you want ordinary”

I have gone hiking one time with Jonathan, and he is just as he presents himself on his site, and likes to do trail runs like me

Jonathan’s guide to reclaiming your dreams presents a valid and compelling message for those of you who may have given up on what you really want to do

there are various articles relating to the concept of getting out of your day job and into a career that suits you

Personal Excellence Blog

run by Celestine Chua of Celestina Chua fame

she has gotten her forums up and booming, with lots of participation going on with her various improvement series and articles

this site is growing very quickly due to Celestine not stopping her various efforts

Celestine put her story out there early on, and has always added a personal touch to her pieces

she is very flexible/adaptive to changing variables of society

Life Optimizer

This site is the work of Donald Latumahina who recently got the site a redesign

Scott H Young

I agree with most of what Scott writes about, and he puts out stuff that I tend to not have seen anywhere else

he has created multiple Ebooks, including one about studying efficiently, and another about habits

Scott has mentioned holistic learning multiple times, as a much more optimized way to acquire understanding

he was recently in Europe and learned a fair amount of another language during his time

Scott isn’t afraid to tackle issues, like in one of his articles about personal development vs. the personal development business

PluginID

PluginID has been run by a few authors now, first Glen Allsopp who is now at ViperChill.com, then Bud Hennekes who continues to write at A Boundless World that is later on this later, and now currently Brett Hagberg who I used to read from often on his own site

The personal development sites list on PluginID is part of what inspired me to make my sites page and add RSS feed counts to it

The current author, Brett, has a lot of messages to put out there, and is a person who will challenge you on some thoughts if possible

I would say that Brett has some philosopher in him, and it comes through on most of his posts

PluginID has a very nice wooden and colorful design that Glen put in place

Alex Shalman

Alex is a guy dedicated to personal betterment, and will be a dentist in a few years

His message of Practical Personal development is accurate because he has used his own material to be a great representation of what we should aim for

He is friendly and personable, and I think he will be one of the most well-known dentists around later on

The categories on his site cover numerous sections of living, and are not too tied down to any certain area

I did a guest post on Alex’s site about building confidence

Advanced Life Skills

Jonathan Wells spearheads this creation, where he talks about ways to make big changes to your life

Abundance Blog

this site is run by Marelisa Fábrega, who is a lawyer and who presents you with messages about how to obtain abundance

there are many articles here about creativity, and an available Ebook about living your best life

the Abundance Blog is a member of the 9rules network, which is a great site that links to new articles from the various sites that are in it, which are mostly high quality sites

a 4-part series called The Elasticity Of Time(starts here) discusses much about how you can make your use of time much more valuable

You can check out 50 things that Marelisa has done, and as you will see, she has done all kinds of stuff

Freestyle Mind

this here site is run by Oscar Del Ben, who redesigned his site a while ago from scratch, coding the various parts on his own(not sure if current design continues off of that)

I have talked to Oscar on Skype before, and he is a delightful individual with an entertaining Italian accent(to me)

Upgrade Reality

run by Dirk de Bruin(also known as Diggy) who I think I found out about first through Glen Allsopp who is now at ViperChill

also contains an Ebook for sale by the same name as the site, and it has a nice light blue design to it(also he created another Ebook called You Version 2.0

Diggy is quite personable and friendly, has traveled a bit, and has run his own supermarket

there are many articles here about topics like psychology, and health and attraction

quite a few of the articles on Upgrade Reality are titled with a question that is answered quite well in the body of the message

HealthMoneySuccess

The three words in the domain name of this site are basically what it is about

Vincent has set and accomplished various goals through his site, like his completion of multiple marathons, and subscriber growth

He has done various interviews of people about their success and efforts

On his About page, Vincent has various pictures he has taken with people at different events, and there is a link to more pictures on his Flickr account

I have a guest post that I did on HMS about being decisive

World’s Strongest Librarian

this site is run by Josh Hanagarne who is a librarian with big muscles, an aptitude for reading, and a case of Tourette Syndrome

What you get from Josh is messages about building strength, book reviews, and some material that is entertaining

I remember when WSL started to grow quickly after Josh had done a guest post or two and then did his guest-posting marathon where he posted all over the place for anyone that requested a guest post

he built up his strength as a response to the Tourette Syndrome that he had, by working out repeatedly to handle the effects

the design at the top of the site is quite fitting as it contains books in between a couple of kettle bells

David Turnbull

David runs his own site in a warm and direct way, leading people to understand how he is as an actual person

he also runs another site that is about one of his gaming interests, and has done well to make it more mainstream

The Jungle Of Life

The Jungle of Life is run by Lance Ekum, and he is all about people and getting to know them, and being cheery

one notable item on this site is the Sunday Thought For The Day post that is usually short and gets you thinking about how you are living

Lance talks in a very free style and directly to you as the reader

there is a RAOKA category on The Jungle Of Life that is about doing random acts of kindness to people you do or don’t know

through some of the videos that are able to be seen on the site, you can see that Lance spreads joy and connectivity to others

Learn This

Mike is career-oriented and present his thought-out messages from a career standpoint

One of the first sites I found in this general category was Learn This

There are numerous reviews of business books on this site, and many of them have come out shortly after the book was released

Mike did a follow-up of my quality and criticism article with his message about having an open mind

I have a guest post on Learn This about staying ahead

The Skool Of Life

run by avid surfer Srinivas Rao who has detailed some of his efforts to earn by writing

he has described quite a bit of his past and experiences in his multiple sections of About pages

Srinivas has set financial goals and discussed his plans to obtain them in the past, including freelance writing from what I recall, which I believe he has done or is doing

he has an MBA from Pepperdine and has business sense

I did a guest post on The Skool Of Life about an interesting aspect of certain relationships

Prolific Living

Farnoosh is like a package of energy and activity(+ strength, knowledge, wit, etc.)

on Prolific Living you will find information about travel, yoga, and living an actual life

Many of the books that you probably have wanted to have read(classics) have been reviewed on this site

The views you get here come from an open-minded person who has been in numerous countries around the world

There are loads of links to articles from other sites on the articles at Prolific Living

A Boundless World

we live in A Boundless World if you listen to the words of Bud Hennekes, who is the author of this site

Bud wrote for this site, then took a hiatus while he was writer over at PluginID, and then has returned to A Boundless World

the site has an airy, cloud-filled design, that is clean and inspiring

Bud has hit hard against some issues in articles, like a recent one where he has discussed the nature of viral content, and an older one where he talked about the educational system in place

there are various categories of articles here, but one of the most popular ones is Inspiration, where Bud passes on some productive energy to you

Eden Journal

run by Eric Watermolen, Eden Journal is a site with article intended to provide enlightenment

the logo on his site somewhat reminds me of a logo attempt I made for this site, where I had a book inside of a clock with no numbers on it to represent Timeless Information

He had a recent post he did where he said to “go outside” in part of it, and that is a great message for people who spend too much time indoors, as you need to see and feel the world a little bit each day

there is a master list of Ebooks on his site, and it quite a cool compilation table of the Ebooks other personal development writers have put out, and their costs, author, and genre, along with links to purchase

Eric has done reviews of various Ebooks that he recommends, and reviews help a lot in finding out if an Ebook will be valuable or of negligible value to you

The Sam Effect

run by Sam Lloyd, who is a personal trainer who is quite fit, among other items of interest

To the readers of Timeless Information
2011 is upon us in every nation.
How quick does time go? I can’t say
But very little room is left for delay.

Led by those like Darren Rowse, and Chris Brogan with his words spoken,
Thousands of articles are being posted.
Brian Clark, gives your copy a spark,
and GoDaddy or HostGator gets it hosted.

When you have thoughts
put pencil to paper,
And continue to progress,
until your momentum begins to taper.

Once you have published,
after having proofread,
you then have the opportunity,
also known as the “go-ahead”

to learn to travel with Farnoosh,
or optimize with Donald Latumahina
or check out Kanye’s posts
and remember his messages about Katrina

From upliftment by Celes,
through her program of 21 days to health
Or career guidance by Mike King,
leading to future wealth.

Speaking on the topic of finance,
IWillTeachYouToBeRich is specific.
Ramit prevents you from a future,
that is financially horrific.

Now let’s say you want to make,
a delectable meal for 3.
Simply Recipes has what you need,
or you can check out the library.

Regarding your local library,
I must digress and add,
that you would certainly find some books in there,
to inform you and make you feel glad.

If you’re looking for a site, to solve a personal issue,
Alex Shalman is a fine candidate.
As a dental student, who has shown he is prudent,
He can surely give you a hand at it.

Now let’s say you’ve gone, and searched for hours.
And can’t find any good material.
Go on StumbleUpon, pick desired categories
and go from one site to the next while eating cereal.

Hey folks. I shall continue the 12 days of posts here, although I didn’t end up posting the last few days. I had a post ready to go to continue it a few days back, but I deleted it when I was finished because it probably wouldn’t have been received well, and then I didn’t have the post for that day, and then I lost momentum for a few. I just wanted to explain that.

This post may end up being quite long. In this post of the 12 days of posts, I am going to mention and talk about many people. Most of the people that I am looking to mention are writers from other sites that I know of. I thought I’d talk about what they’re doing, or what they have done, or what they are about. If you like hearing about people, then you will like this article.

Celes

I will just get started and keep going from there. The first person I look to mention is Celes from CelestineChua.com. What you get from Celes is a mix of passion, support for your passion, positivity, and some good elements of Oprah and Tim Ferriss. Celes is very skilled at finding out what is required of any effort or production early on in the process, so she wastes no time getting to the important stuff. This comes from her good ability to take the important feedback that is presented and respond to it very quickly.

Some items that Celes has done recently include forums she has created on her own site, and a guest post on Lifehack about New Year’s Resolutions. Also, she was just on the channel News Asia on the 28th of December, and that is one huge TV station. Good stuff all around.

Farnoosh

Farnoosh is one active individual. I have spoken about her and her writings at Prolific Living previously. She is always keen to respond and interact with her audience, and also challenges her readers at times with questions they can follow up on. Recently, she had an article that was quite the piece, and it led to a huge amount of comments and feedback about the topic of whether or not someone should have children. This is obviously a huge topic in our world of reproducers, and there is more than enough feedback in the comments there to help you with that issue if it is in your mind.

One great thing is that Farnoosh is always traveling, whether it is to France or Italy or Switzerland. This habit allows her to obtain a much bigger mindset(in my opinion) than those who stick in one locale, and she passes that on to her readers. I say this to be the case because travel has some effects that few people mention. One is that your mind partially resets when you are in a new area, like any errors from your past are not there, and you have opportunity to do as you desire, so you do things you would not normally do. This is not to say that you couldn’t do them in your own hometown, but you wouldn’t. This is part of what I see as getting a bigger mindset. This also means that there are also ways to get this benefit of traveling without having to travel, by instead pushing yourself as hard as you can in your current environment, but that is topic for another article.

Tim Ferriss

I recently wrote and deleted an article I had about Tim’s new book The 4 Hour Body. I have to mention this guy because he is a marketer in so many ways. He can sell rice to someone who already has rice. I don’t mean this in a bad way at all. I used to think poorly of people that sell hard and use methods, but then I realized that they are the ones with bread on the table, and who get to reproduce successfully, and people forget about the others that don’t. This may seem like a harsh description, but when you look around the world, it seems more accurate than harsh.

Back to discussing his new book and his marketing methods, Tim did a fabulous job of hyping up his release. He posted on his site about how he wanted to get #1 on the bestsellers list, and told his readers exactly when he wanted them to buy his book so that their purchases were right at the time that would matter for the list. Some people verify that they will get $10 at the end of an hour of their work, and in the same way, Tim was verifying that he did all the things necessary to get #1 on the New York Times bestseller’s list.

My favorite part of his marketing is his response after he made it to #1 on the bestsellers list. His article of response included a part that said:

The 4-Hour Body had hit #1 on The New York Times bestseller list, on the hardest list (Advice, How-To) during the hardest week of the year. I was in shock for the rest of the evening.

This is one of the most important parts about marketing. Always act surprised at your success. Even though he obviously knew he was aiming to defeat every other book publisher on the hardest list at the hardest time of the year, he did not mention this previously, and then acted surprised when he got there. One lesson to take from this for you would-be marketers out there is that you always want to act surprised about your success even when you are so calculated that you know it is coming, because you don’t want people to feel manipulated even if you know you manipulated them for your own ends. Rule #1 is to not tell people they are stupid, indirectly or directly, even when your marketing requires it.

There was a time when I would look down upon marketers, but this view shifted when I realized that those who do it well get to a life full of fortune where they can then give to charity and cover up any past manipulation with supposedly good-looking deeds, while those that don’t, well, don’t.

Donald Trump

This guy is a go-getter, as so many of you already know, and his show The Apprentice recently ended, and his brand continues to boom. His children Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka are representing the Trump brand very well, and the winner of the last Apprentice, the amazing Brandy, mentioned that she would want to work Ivanka or Donald Jr. or the other son Eric for her apprenticeship.

What I want to mention about Mr. Trump is that he takes everything seriously, which I find commendable. You won’t find him messing around on any deal or communication because he knows that could be the beginning of his downfall. When you don’t treat things seriously, there is always someone out there that will think you have a weakness, and they will then look to exploit it. He doesn’t even allow this possibility to be there.

People that are very serious are often put down by others until they make it big, and then they don’t have to care because they then live a life of abundance.

Rob White

I want to mention Rob White from MindAdventure.com because I thought it was cool that he took the book that he created and presented(’180: A Self-Empowerment System that Never Fails) for show and sale(I think) at the Miami International Book Fair. He also posted pictures of the event.

Why this sticks out in my mind as an important item from his recent posts is that he did something that most aspiring authors did not or will not do. Making up a random statistic that is probably very accurate, I’d say that 1 in 10 aspiring authors with a finished book took the initiative to take their book to a book fair or public show/sale event like this. This is a fine example of walking the walk.

Gail

Gail from A Flourishing Life continues to bring forth a message of wholeness and warmth, and of being open to trusting others. Her articles are set apart by her years of psychological experience, and it shows in how healthy the items she presents are. I feel that she very well knows some of the healthiest habits we can adapt into our lives.

An example is a recent article of hers about being aware, where she discussed taking a focused look at what you are doing currently, and becoming an expert in each of your moments as they pass by. This is a requirement for being able to alter any habits you have, as we have to step out of ourselves to see how a habit is running our show instead of us running our show, for example.

Gail is an expert at analyzing the root problems that individuals may have, and while I am glad to have folks who analyze problems in ways that are not as close to the root causes, it is good that we have someone like Gail that often sticks to layer #1 in discussing how to get out of issues.

Also, to stay out of the generic zone, I want to point out that the types of issues that individuals like Gail target are very relevant. Depression leads to increased eating which leads to obesity which is such a huge current and upcoming problem. Lack of control over any of the numerous bad habits that we all know about leads to social problems, financial problems, and the like. It is much much easier to tackle a problem before it results in physical or financial complications. I know that these are important issues because the vast majority of people suffer from one or the other.

Closing Words

I enjoyed discussing these various folks and some details about their current creations and efforts. I may follow-up with another post discussing other individuals, or I may not, but I hope you enjoyed this one. To conclude this post, I have created an audio here that contains a rap and some follow-up discussion. For those who are interested, press play:

Hi folks. I know what you’re thinking. “Armen, you have so many great ideas and concepts that you put out there, and you are great at connecting with others, but you only do this efficiently when in a state of momentum.” I agree with what you are saying. Therefore, I have created this item that I call “The 12 Days Of Posts”. Why is this a good idea? Well, in fact, it is not a good idea. It is a great idea. This is because I like to be in a state of flow, and up on the stage, and connecting with the audience, with things happening on the fly. Therefore, I must post daily.

Added to this, it is vital that I point out this mission so that it is set for the duration of the procedure, which is in this case 12 days, from December 20th to December 31st. I was lucky because I found out about this final 12-day period of 2010 just in the nick of time. Either it worked out fittingly, or I had someone transport us all a few days back in time so that I would have this option.

During this series of posts, I will bring variety, and maybe some color, to the table. Also, I look to be sharing links to articles or sites at times, in order to bring some more attention to material that is valuable in some way.

As a closer to this introduction to the series, I must stress that commitment is present in every successful venture that you know of, because it requires commitment to persist past difficulties. Without it, difficulties become end points to what could have been bigger and better. Lastly, a code name for this article series could be T12DOP.

Hi folks. I have put together something great for you. What I have done is that I have compiled 45 of the earliest articles from this site together into one Ebook that I call Timeless Information: Volume 1. This compilation contains articles that discuss how to deal with competition, add perspective to how you view and use your time, and analyze the relationships that you possess.

This creation was completed due to following the general gist of Seth Godin’s message about making sure to “ship” your content out. Creating is good, but it is vital that you create and then “ship it out” to the people that desire it.

Description

This Ebook allows those of you who had not read my earlier writings on this site to acquire them in a complete package format, and also allows those of you who have wanted to support the content creation on this site to do so.

Although I didn’t really get help from anyone for any parts of the book creation because I wanted to learn my way through the process, I did use Ebooks by some other writers to look at for some guidance in putting this together.

As far as the content on the Ebook, it consists of 45 articles spread across 8 of the categories that you know of from this site, and these are:

Competition, Success, Time, Struggle, Knowledge, Relationships, Mindset, and Action

In total, this book in PDF format comes in at 119 pages.

Preview

For those who are considering purchasing this creation, the following links to a preview of the Ebook, up to and including the Table of Contents: Preview of Timeless Information: Volume 1

Purchasing

I have priced Timeless Information: Volume 1 at $15, and you are able to purchase it by clicking on the following button and going through the PayPal procedure:

Closing Words

I want to thank those of you who have given me much feedback over time through responses on my articles, from those who only read them, to those who write for their own site, and any others I am leaving out. Your discussion and comments and challenges are always appreciated.

According to the FBI and CIA, there are around 600 subscribed readers to this website. I wanted to mention here that I view you all as separate individuals. This may sound like one of those goody-goody things to say, but it is not. There are two main perspectives to take in this type of example. Some see their readership/viewership as one big lump sum number of people, and some see their readership/viewership more as a collection of individual people. It is irrelevant how a person of each type views the people of the other type.

One Big Room

I take the latter mindset, so when I think of my readership, for now at least, I think of one of those huge presentation halls or classrooms. In this room is 600-something individuals, including Rob White, some friends I know in person, various writers from other sites(like Gail and Farnoosh), Martin, Preeti, Sibyl, Jarrod, Marko, and so on. The ordering and listing there is not important as I just wanted to list some of you readers.

Connecting Is Healthy

Sometimes I get cool e-mails from one reader or another, and this is one great feature of putting out your thoughts, as that can lead to others wanting to connect their thoughts with yours, or compare, or ask a question. Good things come from connecting. Bad things come from isolation. Robert Greene’s 48 Laws Of Power has one law about that too: “Do not build fortresses to protect yourself – isolation is dangerous.”

Benefits Of Connecting

Negatives Of Connecting

Hear the opinions of others

Might look bad

Find someone cool

Build self-esteem

Find out information you didn’t know

Hello To You

It is safe to assume that some readers here have not yet had the interest in commenting, so I wouldn’t know who you are. Gary Vaynerchuk calls his viewers who don’t comment “lurkers”, and this label is used by others as well. I know I am a lurker on some sites also, as I read them or view certain clips, but don’t leave a comment or video response. I would say to you that I would like to hear from you individuals, whether in a comment or through the contact form. Let me know if there is any material here you liked in particular.

Expression Is An Example Of Boldness In Action

I thought I’d add in this part as well. Pointing out your thoughts is a sign of strength, as you are saying “here are my thoughts”, and are not worried about the consequences, as you know the rewards are far greater. Keeping information hidden as part of some plan to take advantage of others is a sign of weakness and lack of understanding about the end result. Related to this, I saw this one quote that said something like “that which is unseen has no value at all”.

There is polished output, unpolished output, and no output. It is good to keep your production level in the first two categories.

Dragos Roua from over at DragosRoua.com challenged many site-writers including myself to his 7 links challenge, where I choose posts of mine or others that fit in to the categories he had set forth. I am glad to take part in this, and would also recommend checking out Dragos’ material on his site. I will now get into the list:

1. Your First Post

In fact, I have some interesting material to point out about the first few posts on this site. I had a Blogspot site that I wrote on for about a month, and then about five months later, I started this site. I transferred the six articles I had written on the Blogspot site to this site.

My first posts were quite short. There were basically paragraphs. My first post of all was Surroundings, which is short enough for me to present here.

It is vital that one notices the presence of that which is around him. A cluttered room will keep an individual from taking action as it is detrimental to positive thought processes. It is useful to put one’s room together in a rush since momentum is a powerful force.

I certainly still agree with the material there. I always put out a solid amount of effort to adjust my surroundings so that they match what I want to do. Since I might have a cluttered mind when writing, I don’t want the area around me to be too cluttered, and having fresh air or being able to see plants is always a plus. Having water around and proper music and good lighting all comes in handy. Our surroundings have a huge impact on how we feel and perform. This is why a small house in a good neighborhood costs as much as a huge house in a bad neighborhood. The importance of location and surroundings is easily evident in looking at housing prices of different areas.

2. A Post You Enjoyed Writing The Most

I have to say that I got quite into the Timeless Information 2009 Review post. I sure liked adding all those nice photos, including the various flowers and the wonderful introductory photo of the snowy tree scene. Doing that review, I searched through and was reminded of some of the greatest material I wrote during that year, and I got to categorize it for future reflection. I got to mention many things about other writers, and link to some of their articles, so that was a great way to get out the items on my mind. I also added a cool audio of me playing a piano piece at the end. I was very satisfied with that post.

3. A Post Which Has Great Discussion

I am starting to realize how many posts I have put out as I go through this 7 links challenge. One post that had some good discussion in my view was Where You Are Is Where You Succeed, where I pointed out that the place where you are located or the category in which you are putting out effort is where you will succeed. If you are spending time and effort trying and researching gardening methods, you will soon have a blooming garden, and this occurs wherever else you put your time and attention.

There were some cool responses to the article, like one about how the message tied in with David Deida’s message of being “on your purpose”, or the one by Vonzel that mentions allowing a child to find their place of success and give them opportunity to lean towards their angle of interest.

4. A Post On Someone Else’s Blog That You Wish You’d Written

Although I don’t have any wishes of this type, as I would have written the post if I had the desire, one post I would select for this choice is Glen Allsopp’s Visualization: 4 Mind Tricks to Change Your Life, because it talks about the neon green wavy line that we can imagine connects us all as people. When one neighbor does something, everyone on the street feels it. When one person in a group of friends makes a change, the whole group feels it. We are all connected, more than most would like to think or admit, and so we must act accordingly, not ignoring others when we make changes. Glen symbolized this concept well with his neon green line.

5. A Post With A Title You’re Proud Of

This would have to go to the post titled “Much Of What You See Is Engineered“. I sure still feel that this post sends a strong message, and the use of ‘engineered’ in the title frames the message well. Not only is much of what we see in public and in the media and said by others and in written documents and wherever else not as innocent as it appears, much of it is engineered specifically to evoke a certain reaction or response, or to cause a certain outcome. Many product sales are engineered as though the product isn’t actually $199, or even $149, but instead, is $99. You’ve saved $100, supposedly. The show America’s Got Talent often has some dramatic story for some singer, leading up to their big singing debut as an innocent regular person, and then the audience is amazed. So much of what we see is engineered that I could see myself writing this post again with different examples.

6. A Post That You Wish More People Had Read

One post that comes to mind of this type would be my Quote Analysis – Stages post, where I broke down a famous quote into four parts, with a fitting picture composed of four sets of stairs. The quote says a lot about the process of success and what comes before it, and so I would always like people to see what the early stages are like. People are ignored at first, in hopes that they quit, and then they are ridiculed, once again in hopes that they quit, and then they are fought, in hopes that they are defeated, up until the point where they win, and then they can no longer be ignored or ridiculed or easily defeated. Humans are cruel to each other in this way, but the good news is that the intelligent know that ignoring or ridiculing someone to cancel out their efforts is worthless, and so they don’t do it. The intelligent conserve their energy to focus on their own success, instead of trying to detract from that of someone else.

7. Your Most Visited Post Ever

This would easily have to be my 100 Ways To Show Boldness post, which got retweeted and passed around all over the place. I still do remember the ~2 hour period where I was in a very focused mode as I create each item for this post. I pulled everything out of my mind that fit the post properly, and it was a struggle at some points, but I continued and ended up with a very cool creation. Boldness is important to me because I see very little of it in public, and would like to see more from all, so I wanted to discuss it. The opportunities for boldness in communication and actions with friends and random strangers are immense, but they are mostly left untouched. A small act of boldness can also cause a string of bold actions from others.

In Closing

I am appreciative that Dragos did challenge me to write such a post, and it allowed me to mention multiple items I wanted to mention. Reflecting is sometimes just as important as thinking of the next item to perform, because depth and understanding comes from this reflection, and this is useful when moving forward.

There was a period of over two months where a post went up each day on Timeless Information, and it is time for a return to such a period. This plan is the right way to go because of two reasons that work well together: one is that I have much material in the form of partially completed drafts and bare post ideas, along with other items and creations from others that I want to mention, along with audio ideas, and reason two, that I do much better when in a continued state of momentum.

Momentum And Quality

The only negative that I can think of is that not everyone will want a post every day. I counter this by saying that my material quality improves when I am in a state of momentum, and that there is likely to be more variety. Feedback from anyone wanting to mention anything is always appreciated through the contact page or through e-mail to my first name @ timelessinformation.com.

I look to begin the daily posting period from the next day forward. This posting plan is supposedly a 30-day plan.

It Is All You And Me Also

I appreciate all you readers, by the way. Take away you ~580 readers and I am basically then writing to myself, which is not so bad, but it lacks a lot of the elements of communication and interaction.

I would say to wish me luck for the posting period, but I think posting every day will be easier for me than posting every few days, because of how I like to keep on a regimen.

I got this idea without much thought, and some of my great ideas come without much thought.
