Cheat Codes For Your Usage

I was on the basketball court and did a super move, and this one guy on the other team said “what’s this guy’s cheat code?”  That was good material.  Here I go through my cheat codes.


I drink water.

Staying Active

I keep moving because I have the ability to keep moving.  People who are 90 can’t move and wish they could move.  If you are not 90 and can move, it would benefit you to do so.  Walk, dance, stretch, talk, rake leaves, jump, run, swim, kick a soccer ball, and so on.

Expressing Thoughts

If you are not expressing your thoughts and ideas in some way, you aren’t getting feedback, are bottling up your output, and will feel bad about it later.  Think about if all people on the planet were removed.  Things would not be smooth, and part of the reason is that you would have no one to interact with.  Now, replacing all the people back onto the planet, are you interacting with those people, or are you not taking advantage of the opportunity?  It is an energizing activity.

Being Entertained

Some things can either bug you or entertain you.  Something that bugs you usually takes your energy away, while something that entertains you gives you more energy.  With different perspective or re-framing, you can be entertained by a lot more of the regular occurrences in your routine.

Having A Purpose

If you don’t have some mission or goal or purpose, or multiple ones, look to see if you actually have one that is covered up with inhibition or some form of having given it up.  Change comes from us, and not to us.  The people who have a mission or goal waltz through life.

If you have a cheat code, you might want to share it here.  You might not have one, or not be able to think of one, and that is fine too.  We can’t all be using cheat codes, or else they would be normal codes, or not even codes.

  1. Be Inspired. It doesn’t have to be a big thing. Sometimes nature, the lives of others, arts, sport or a quirky story on the local news can be enough to provide that little bit of energy in or lives to try something different, to be a little more than we already are and to have some fun. Be inspired by trying something different – tune in to a different radio station, read different authors, go see a film you think you might not like or say yes to doing a gig or walk with a friend your initial thought was to turn down.
