Dealing with the time factor, of time going by during the process, could be done by finding a buyer each day or week, so that you would know that probability was working in your favor as time went on, negating the effects of lowering market value of the truck. It's like when a deal to sell my pickup truck fell through a while back. I was very disappointed but then two days later someone else bought it at full price. I made an extra three hundred dollars because the first deal went bad. So now it's an easy exercise to use that experience to mentally prepare for future deals. Wow, that really makes you think. Although a positive attitude will certainly help bring out a positive outcome it does not necessarily make it so.
