Deserving The Strengths You Maintain And Utilize

deserveThere are quite a few issues to bring up about the concept of “deserving” something.  In a past post, I pointed out that it is not about whether a person derves something, but whether they take the initiative to acquire it.  This handles the items that someone has put effort out to obtain.  On the other side of the fence, some might wonder about those items that people have had handed to them.  For these, a person only deserves what they can handle and hold on to.

It is a self-correcting system.  You may know certain people that you feel don’t deserve one item or another.  It would be a positive point of perspective to not look at their good fortune in some aspect, but to see whether they have appreciated their good fortune by maintaining their provided item.  Those that have acquired a certain item, and had the humbleness and sense of control to maintain or build upon it, are the ones that are “deserving” of them.  Items that are not recognized and appreciated are quickly lost.

Another item to take from this is that you have some qualities or items that you have that others feel that you don’t “deserve”.  Your way of proving that you do deserve them is to utilize and nurture those qualities and items.  You don’t know what you have until you lose it, but you won’t let yourself lose something if you recognize it beforehand.  It might be a good idea to spend a minute to think of an item or two that you have, which others would feel that you didn’t earn, and then follow-up that thought with thoughts on how to utilize it so that your appreciation for it pays off your debt to it.  Soon enough, you will have earned it, and won’t feel guilty about taking a fortune of yours for granted.

Handling, and making use of, a unique item that you have been provided with means that you deserve it.
