I went on an outdoor mountain hiking trail adventure with my friends. I will relate the events of it to concepts in various articles I will write in a series of posts in upcoming days. This will be the first article series I have done, and I knew I would do it when we were worried coming down the mountain if we would make it back in good health because we had 2 hours more to go down and it was already near darkness, and at that time, I said that if we made it back okay, I would be writing articles on the various topics that came up in my mind through the adventure. I’ve got some pictures of us during the hiking trip that I will sprinkle throughout the series. This series will including articles on:
Punctuality – The effects of my being late at the start of the trip to the hiking spot added effort that didn’t need to be there had I been on time in the first place to start the hike at the time suggested by others. Also, this article will discuss staying true to your word.
Realistic optimism – Through the various battles along the trail trip, realistic optimism gave us more energy along the way. I can’t speak for all in the group but I certainly gain from it. I will discuss this on that day.
Setting goal points – Along the way we hit certain points at certain times. Hitting a section of the trail or a notable entity along the way gave us a sense of conquering each portion. This relates to goal-setting.
Going with a plan and social sharing of strengths – There wouldn’t be material to discuss had we not taken this adventure and happened to get in a risky situation. There would be blank space in its place. This article will be about filling that blank space with something that is satisfactory, or more than satiating, to you.
Each of us going through the trail had various strengths that we brought to the table, and also it could have just been looked at as a simple hike, there are various parts of it where usage of each others’ strengths came into play and made a difference.
The order of the articles could be different than the order seen here. I will look to connect the story of the hike to the story you are working through. I may also sprinkle some vocabulary words in for learning purposes.

Hey Armen. That’s cool you’re going outdoor mountain hiking. I don’t think I’ve done that before and it sounds like a lot of fun! Good luck on your journey!
Hey Tristan.
In fact, I already went on the adventure and will be describing points from the trip in those articles. There will be some cool pictures too. Thanks for checking up on it.
Hi Armen. Looking forward to this series.
BTW, I would love to try mountain biking, Sorry, change that to I will try mountain biking
Steven: Hey there.
Thanks for that. I am looking forward to putting it out there too. The first post will go up in a few hours for tomorrow.
I like how you changed your verbiage there. It’s easy to stop your possible effort with the “would love”, but you are now indomitable due to your use of “will”. Let that be a lesson to others who think their language used prior to an action is not relevant, as it is almost a 100% indicator of what you are willing to do. It is hard to find someone who talks confidently and then doesn’t follow it up with matching action, and the same is true of the opposite. When we say “maybe” in our heads or out loud, the likelihood of us doing something is almost negligible.
I had to extend that point out. Thanks for your support there Steven.
Freakin Armen and his big words! LOL. I’m actually very impressed by these articles! Keep it up bro.
Dilan: Hey thanks for that big guy. I sure like pulling out the diction where it is pragmatic. Thanks for the support.
Realistic optimism is a huge one! Nothing takes the wind out of our sails and therefore the energy out of an excursion more than unrealistic expectations.
Sounds like a great trip! I love the outdoors.
Eric
Eric: I have unrealistic expectations sometimes, and the sail sure does lack wind at that point. I have to keep them within bounds, and then I am able to actually do something, instead of getting stuck. I sure don’t like getting stuck, because then time lapses without production.
Thanks for your thoughts.
