Quite Frustrated? Figure Out Why:

Frustrated personIf something happened in your day that frustrated you more than you are used to in your procedure, it is vital that you pinpoint the reason. Any stimulus(such as an unproductive interaction) that causes you much anguish is due to a reason that may not be so obvious. Analyzing the situation has to be done, or else you may focus on the wrong cause of the problem as the item to fix.

For example, you may get into a heated discussion that takes over an hour with a person that you deal with at times.  During the discussion, your mind might be telling you that talking is becoming a waste of time as gains are not being made through communication.  It is important to listen to your mind when it sends a message because it is rarely off point.  If/when the discussion doesn’t come to a satisfying conclusion, you might be quite frustrated and unable to go back to performing your other tasks.  It is quite possible that you will think that the way the other person acted was the cause of your overwhelmed mind.  You might start thinking of negative things about the other person, without realizing that the main disappointment is in yourself for allowing an hour to be wasted, when the discussion could have been cut short much earlier with the same result.

It tends to be the case that we get frustrated mostly by our own actions, and the actions of others are often irrelevant to our feelings that result.  We can break down many frustrations into simple sentences of how we caused them to occur, such as “I let myself skip the time I set to read for 30 minutes, and that affected my whole routine.”  When the frustration is broken down into the actual cause(s) of it, it has less of an energy-consuming effect.

It is always very important to figure out what frustrates or stresses us out. We must learn how to manage those things so we can be productive in our daily life’s. Knowing when to open the valve to release the things which stress is a very good thing, and also knowing you don’t have to tackle everything all in one given day is also important.

Squeaky: Finding out the source of stress is one large step, and a couple of aggressive responses to a stress-causing item are to attack it straight on, or to convert the stress into extra material to be more outgoing. People can think to themselves that the stress present is quite large, and so other items that one might not have normally done become easier to do in comparison.
